Weddings are meant to be fun, but they days comes and goes so fast. What if you could make it more fun and therefore, more memorable? We have come up with a list of different things that you could use for your special day. We have considered all budgets so that everyone can benefit. Some are inexpensive or free whilst others will need to be purchased. We have found though that there are so many options, we couldn’t list them all. They range from games, to photos to possibly un-thought of ideas. Some of these ideas are great for your wedding guests and some will glam up your special day and make it so romantic.
You can hand out some really different or funky favours. A wedding with a difference by using a spinning wheel and give out some prizes. The prizes can be fun and gimmick like such as a ‘snake popping from a can’ or some crackling lollies. Have you ever thought about having a ‘Lolly Buffet’? These are a great hit for weddings. You can either make your own or hire a buffet cart.
Whilst you have a photographer capturing all the special moments, you can also have a wedding Combi Van instead of a photo booth. They look great and have so many props where your guests can wear signs, or hats or wave wands. Your guests will love the photo’s they receive as well.
A cheaper alternative is to make a photo frame and get some hats, masks, wands, scarfs, moustaches and any other fancy dress piece from your local $2 shop and make your own photo booth. Design your own signs and arrows so that people can hold them during their photo sessions.
Why not include your guests to have their say on drink coasters or cards. It can be ‘My advice for the Bride & Groom’ then some space for your guests to write a note. How about ‘Inspiring messages that you can say to each other every day’? How nice would it be to read these messages after you day is over?
Do you have a favourite movie? You could use swords for example as your guard of honour and that can be your entrance to your reception. How about some extra special Fountains that you can walk between. The Fountains are fireworks that make an incredible entrance. Have you thought about having yard games? There are a number of yard games that work really well. Create your own games for the reception. I’ve not seen one so that would make for a unique game to your special day.
Have you ever thought of having a jumping castle or better yet, an obstacle course? We have spoken to brides that are looking for that very thing. Great fun and keeps your guests entertained whilst you’re on your photo shoot or between speeches.
What about some customised sunnies? These could be just for the some photos. They could have written on them Bride and Bridesmaids and get them custom colour to match the dress. We have also seen Beer Pong at a wedding. It seemed to be quite popular that day. There was lots of laughing and cheering going on.
How about a carnival food truck? One that can do hot chips, hamburgers, ice-cream and soft drinks. It is something different. From food trucks to cartoon style portraits, these can be set up around the reception. They are all about making the day different and unique to you. Something that can make for great photos of your first dance is Flutter Fetti. It is rectangular pieces of crepe paper that can be thrown in the air if you don’t hire a machine to give a great effect on the dance floor. Or you can go with smoke machines that create a cloud like effect across the dance floor. Using the smoke machine along with the fireworks fountains looks extremely good and romantic.
